8V92 Detroit Diesel-Powered “Red Screamer” Custom Pickup
The eye-catching, nicknamed "Red Screamer", is a custom pickup truck built roughly ten years ago by Jay Ouellette in Twin Mountain, New Hampshire. Rooted in a 1979 Maxim ladder truck, it's powered by a turbo- and supercharged 736ci Detroit Diesel 8V92 two-stroke V8 engine, coupled with an Allison four-speed automatic transmission and a Rockwell drivetrain. The imposing vehicle, painted in its characteristic red, hails from the year 1946 but sports an aggressive, post-war hot rod design.
