GT6-Powered Triumph Spitfire
What we know:
Triumph
This distinctive vintage vehicle is a unique blend of two iconic British roadsters rolled into one. It's a 1967 Triumph Spitfire, but with a twist; it's powered by the heart of its upscale sibling, the inline-six from a 1973 GT6 Mark III. This California-native is no ordinary Spitfire; it was custom-built in the early 2000s, combining parts like the suspension, brakes, Rotoflex axles, hood, and doors from the GT6 with the body of a 1980 Spitfire 1500 and the frame from an original 1967 Spitfire Mark II. The finished product features bumpers off a 1972 Spitfire, creating a harmonious blend of vintage charm and performance potential.
