42-Years-Owned 1958 BMW Isetta 300 Project
This unique 1958 BMW Isetta 300 is a vintage gem located in Oostburg, Wisconsin. First sold in Illinois and later resided in Milwaukee before being owned by the current seller for over four decades since 1982. This historic microcar, one of only around 4,500 produced between 1955 and '63, stands out with its distinctive egg-like shape, hinged front door for access to both seats, and a rear-mounted Harley Davidson motorcycle engine powering the reverse-running single rear wheel. Despite being in project status, it has seen restoration efforts from 1984 to 1986, including body repainting, chrome trimming, interior retrimbing, and brake overhauling. Its rarity and distinctive design make it an iconic addition to any classic car collection or a challenging but rewarding restoration project.
