This unique two-door 1991 Volkswagen Golf is powered by a robust 2.8-liter 12-valve VR6 engine, originally designed for the Volkswagen Passat and later models like the Corrado. Initially launched as a compact family car, this Golf stands out with its distinctive manual five-speed transmission. Originally produced in Mexico under the manufacturer Volkwagen De Mexico SA de CV, it's one of the few remaining 1990s hatchbacks still maintaining the historic two-door body style. Despite being nearly three decades old, it has been meticulously modified and maintained throughout the years, first by S&L Imports with a 1.8T engine swap featured in Performance VW magazine, and later by its current owner who painted it white post-installation of the VR6 powerhouse.
