1996 Volkswagen Beetle Harlequin

This unique 1996 Volkswagen Beetle, popularly known as the Harlequin due to its four-color paint job (white wings over yellow body with red lower rocker panels and green fenders), was manufactured in 1996, making it part of the last batch produced at Volkswagen's Puebla plant in Mexico. It is notable for having been converted from left-hand drive to right-hand drive after being exported to the UK in 2002, a modification accompanied by a mph speedometer overlay change. After spending some time in Germany, this distinctive Beetle was imported into the United States in August 2024 via Bring A Trailer, an online auction platform. Currently located in West New York, New Jersey (07093), it retains its charming vintage appeal while offering a fascinating history of international travels and unique modifications.
