The vehicle in question is a distinctively modified 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, dubbed the "CRC Retro-Vette". Originally manufactured at GM's Bowling Green Kentucky plant as a 6,000 lb Class 1 passenger car, this Corvette boasts unique styling cues reminiscent of the classic 1962 C1 model. The original fiberglass panels have been replaced by carbon-fiber bodywork finished in red, transforming its appearance while retaining the classic Convertible/Cabriolet configuration with two doors. Under the hood, a powerful LS1 V8 engine with eight cylinders and sequential fuel injection provides the grunt, delivering around 5700 cc (347.9 cubic inches) of displacement. Safety features include front airbags for the first row and manual seat belts, augmented by optional tire pressure monitoring.
