Porsche 911 Type 901/01 Engine Project

This ongoing project is centered around a 1965 Porsche 911 Type 901/01 flat-six engine, currently based in Pleasanton, California. Originally acquired by the current seller in late 2023 as an unassembled project, the engine has seen some preparation work with necessary components like an oil cooler, valve covers, and an engine shroud sourced and basic assembly commenced. Mounting studs for the cylinder head have been fitted to the aluminum crankcase, and pistons and cylinders are included in the project.
