1954 Arnolt-Bristol Bolide Prototype
This 1954 Arnolt-Bristol Bolide Prototype is a rare and distinctive vehicle. Manufactured in the United States during its golden age of automotive innovation, this prototype was created in collaboration with British automobile manufacturer Bristol Aeroplane Company and American entrepreneur Ned N. Arnolt. The car, one of only 142 examples produced, bears a uniquely designed body crafted by Italian coachbuilder Bertone and styled by Franco Scaglione, notably featuring elegant lines and an aerodynamic form that set it apart from contemporaries. This historic convertible, with its original manufacturing year of 1954, was first sent to Turin, Italy, for the construction of its striking bodywork before completion in England. It made its way across the Atlantic Ocean via New York before being delivered to Columbus Sports Cars in Ohio later that year. Currently situated in the sunny coastal city of Costa Mesa, California, this vintage automobile offers enthusiasts a unique blend of American entrepreneurship and European craftsmanship.
