A historic and distinctive 1926 American LaFrance Type 42 Fire Truck, manufactured in the United States, is available for its next restoration project. Once proudly serving Riverside, California, this vintage truck from a bygone era (era: 1920) was refurbished between 2009 and 2012 before being purchased by the current owner on Bring a Trailer in May 2021. Powered originally by a robust 309ci Buick inline-six engine, this unique vehicle is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission and operated on a 12-volt electrical system for its onboard water pump, making it ready for extinguishing fires even after being stationary due to engine overheating in October 2022. This classic American fire truck, adorned with its original Type 42 design, is not currently running but awaits resurrection within a new restoration project.
