The 2000 Corbin Sparrow, manufactured originally in California, is a unique one-passenger electric vehicle (EV) that has clocked just 1,700 miles since its inception two decades ago. This sleek, futuristic car was designed by Ted Cibin and produced in small quantities before Corbin's bankruptcy in 2003. The Sparrow is instantly recognizable with its lightweight fiberglass body that sits on a reinforced motorcycle frame, giving it an aerodynamic look reminiscent of the DeLorean DMC-12. It features only three-wheels, the single front wheel steering like a bike while the two rear wheels propelled by an electric motor provide stability and traction. Despite its compact size, the Sparrow offers surprisingly spacious accommodation thanks to its gull-wing canopy doors.
