1960 BMW R50

The vintage motorcycle up for grabs is a 1960 BMW R50, a classic German-made machine with an iconic opposed twin engine. This time capsule, hailing from Union Hill-Novelty Hill in Washington State, was recently acquired by its present owner after spending nearly five decades with the previous one. Its recent 2008 overhaul saw to servicing the crankshaft and gearbox, rebuilding cylinder heads, and powder-coated frame; it's essentially ready for the road once again.
